Yeah, I bought 12 songs on iTMS JP (yay!) and the ystk remix of Koi Shiyou was one of them. SO…

Been obsessing over the remix of this song for a while... and then a couple of weeks ago I found the original... *LOVE*

Today I found lyrics! Source is Uta-Net.

EDIT: Wow, so many fails. Next time, I shouldn't rush. They're corrected now. Sorry!
Now, in both Uta-Net and goo, what I wrote as "こんな所で埋もれたりしない" was written as "こんな場所…"
However, 場所 can only be read "basho," and she is most definitely NOT saying that… she is saying "toko," or 所. There's the difference, sorry, haha.

Without further ado…

UPDATE: Romanization (and a correction on the kanji) is done, now need translation… coming soon.

...are bad matches.

Just because my friend watched the MV of Break You Heart (or whatever it's called... that one by Taio Cruz) while I was logged in doesn't mean that you should recommend me Justin Beiber!! Since I hate them both, I just went and downrated them... just to get them off my homepage.

Highly irritating. I go to YouTube to watch videos that I'm interested in.
Just because someone watches a video doesn't mean that they like it.
Generally it does, but not always.

Anyway, sorta cranky because I woke up to the sound of a one-year-old crying because she wanted to get out of her sleeping playpen or whatever it's called. How irritating.

Do you generally like or hate when people take photos of you? Do you feel anxious when friends post pictures of you online? Is your first inclination to link to them or hide them?

Normally, I absolutely despise it because my photogenic-ness can be measured in negative numbers. I couldn't care less if they post pictures of me, as like as they're private (i.e. on their private Facebook account). And... I don't hide them, per se, but I would absolutely never link them.

Sorry for the blogspam of today. It's just that I was finally inspired to write.
And oh, what inspiration.
It's not like I have a ton of stuff to say. Quite the contrary, I am writing out of boredom.
Should I go spam another blog service...? Nah, LJ is my favorite.
I have so much stuff I could do, but I don't do it. Oh well.
Again, sorry.

Without knowing where we came from
Where we're going to
We live our lives, day by day.
If I could just know
Who I am amidst this uncertainty
Then maybe it's okay.

Slightly bored here, so I'll try to make my life interesting by... POSTING ON LJ... of course.

Anyway, my word of the day/week/MONTH is "irritated" and all of its forms. I don't know, it sounds better than "annoying" for some reason. All good, right? It's okay, I don't think I find you, dear reader, very irritating ^_~

I'm going to the lake tomorrow! Just for the weekend. Some friends invited us, and so off we go.
Therefore, my mom told me we were having a mini salon tonight. I wonder what happened to that?

I'm not forgetting my English this summer nearly as fast as I thought I would. Also, what's up with my Japanese?
I find that I can understand Nakata Yasutaka in decent portion, but not someone who speaks clearly and slowly. Makes no sense... it's irritating! Oh well!! teehee.

I can see this post is going in a lighthearted direction. Oh shoot. NG NG NG.
...and not helping.

My mom told me today, "You have low self-esteem, Pau!"
Me: "Ya ~*just*~ noticed that? Just now?"

Here comes some random writing inspired by my music, ok? Brace yourself.

And being lost, maybe like in the middle of a maze,
You never know, go into the dance floor, there go your worries
Your deepest worries
Just forgotten, yet somehow quite presence
Like you can't quite kill them,
Weakened but there. Let them be,
For now you're not with worries.
It's confusing, but it's the present reality.

You control this direction
Powerless, just move with the flow,
There's not much to do about it.
No matter how much I want to feel something,
In the end, I have no power.
I can't bring out what I feel
Since there's no way to say it,
Just play, speaking is unimaginable.
Make it a game, it's not important
No matter how much it's suppressing.

/////

Done with random writing. I knew that music was inspiring, but not THIS inspiring! Whoa.

Not saying it's good... it's just better than anything I can write on my own. Irritatingly enough, I can't write well, no matter how much I wish for it. <----- That sounds like what I just wrote.

Just play the GAME.

A couple of things...

イ、is that an ADVERTISEMENT in the background of the top page? come ON! That's ridiculous. Those ads that make the screen black are irritating... but one on the background of the top page? Irritating.

ロ、What's with the recent Writer's Block questions being about love? Irritating. What would I know about it? Irritating!

Well, I've had my conversations with Japanese Twitter buddies RTd by autism Twitter accounts... and I wasn't talking about autism at all. So just maybe, I want to write something slightly more significant and also be true to my username. So I'll put the two together.

DISCLAIMER 1: I'm not providing any citations for anything for a couple of reasons. First, because my knowledge (pr lack thereof) is a product of living with an autistic brother ever since I can recall as well as various reading materials. Second, this is an expression of opinion and thought, and not an article.

DISCLAIMER 2: The opinions I'm about to state may be totally contrary to your own or other people's. If you disagree and wish to comment, please keep in mind that I understand this and do not be rude. Like I said, this is a blog and not an article.

DISCLAIMER 3: Don't mean to complain about specific people. Please don't take it that way at all... it's mostly I'm talking about when strangers just say "I'm sorry" and such. It's.. irritating.

DISCLAIMER 4: Excuse the grammar and usage. It's summer... I don't ~*do*~ spoken English in summertime :'D

Without further ado, on to the blog post.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder. That is, it is a disorder in the development of the brain. Its cause is unknown, and the only thing proven to make a difference is therapy (like ABA, to name something. ABA well done is quite effective from personal experience, but I digress...). Autism affects an individual's ability to communicate, behave appropriately, and other things. There is a whole wealth of information available online on this.

Now, as incidence of autism has risen and awareness has become higher, there is also a wealth of people rallying for a cure. One hears everywhere "cure autism this" and "cure autism that," etc. To me, it's highly irritating. For one, why would I want to alter the personality of my brother? Sure, it might well be easier to live without autism. But really, wouldn't it be better to keep working on such therapies that can aid an individual in becoming more independent and more able to communicate than to totally alter the aforementioned individual's personality?

I don't see where the point in "curing" autism lies. First, let's stop with this about a cure and focus on the cause. You cannot expect to solve a problem without first knowing the cause of it. Therefore, you cannot expect to "cure" autism without first knowing what causes it and exactly what is different from a "normal" brain. ("Normal" refers to "typically developing" ... it's hard to define.)

Adding another point... I believe that there's a reason why people come with different abilities. That is, there's a reason for the existence of autism, and we shouldn't go against it. "But autism10," you might think, "so there's a reason for the existence of, say, cancer, and we shouldn't go against it?" No, wrong. Cancer is life-threatening; life-taking, in fact. Autism is neither of these, and so, there's no big rush to take it out of the equation.

This will sound contradictory to everything I've just said, but here's your cure: be accepting and teach others to be the same. If all the weird stares disappeared and all the disapproving comments turned into encouraging ones, it would make the lives of families touched by autism that much easier.

And then there's the people who say, "Oh, he has autism? I'm so sorry."

I appreciate the intent, but sympathy isn't going to cut it.

It's like if I went up to someone and said, "Oh, your son is neurotypical? I'm so sorry." And besides that, what good does it do to say you're sorry? You're not going to change anything, and besides, how do you know that the person WANTS your sympathy in the first place?

It's unneeded, and therefor unwanted. Save your breath.
